With One Breath

The Big Bend Community Chorale (BBCC), is the premier choral ensemble of West Texas, performs exceptional choral music under the direction of Dr. Andrew D. Alegría.  Our singers come from all backgrounds and live throughout The Big Bend area.  We sing a diverse style of music, from classical to Broadway, in order to express the beauty and color of the human voice.

About Us

In 2012, under the direction of Marilyn Dieckert, singers from all walks of life formed an ensemble to perform the great choral literature of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms. We are continuing and expanding that tradition and invite all who like to sing to join us.  The BBCC invites all skill levels (beginner to advance) and all voice types.  Rehearsals are on Mondays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in Sul Ross State University’s Choir Room, Fine Arts Building, room 200. See the Calendar Page for rehearsal and performance dates.

Creativity of Programming

The BBCC strives for community fellowship through choral music, including:

• the classical choral repertoire

• the sacred canon

• original vocal compositions

• Broadway show tunes and pop songs

• opera chorus music, and

• international vocal music
