Vivace Youth Singers (Middle School/High School)

This is a choir made up of teens who love to sing. We have rehearsal once a week on Tuesdays at the Sul Ross choir room from 6:00-6:50. We learn songs both in harmony and unison. This semester, we're incorporating both high and low voices, so guys with deep voices are welcome to join! We perform music in a variety of styles, including sacred, pop, Disney, folk, world music, and others. Our goal is to help teens have fun singing while growing as musicians, and to produce excellent music that will bless the community. There are no auditions for this ensemble, and anyone is welcome to join, but new singers will need to set up a vocal interview so that the director can determine their voice type!

Director
Noelle Karleen graduated from Sul Ross State University with a Bachelor of Music in piano performance. She is the director of Alpine School of Music, which offers private and group music lessons for all ages in the Big Bend area. Ms. Karleen directs the Big Bend Children's Chorus and the Vivace Youth Singers, as well as the Solfege Choir through Alpine School of Music. She hopes to expand the Alpine School of Music and Big Bend Community youth ensembles in future years to help more people grow their love of music.
